Birdseye Maple
Named for its unusual graining that looks sort of like a bird’s eye, this Canadian Maple comes from northern “maple leaf” country, along Canada’s St. Lawrence Seaway. There, the growing season is short and cool and the soil is rich – perfect conditions for this species to thrive. This Maple’s flesh is much whiter and the wood far denser than its southern cousins. |

| Shown here in Natural Wash with a 30 Gloss Urethane topcoat, but you decide on the look of your T. Morton Solid or Engineered wood floor. Although wood’s natural color always feels right to us, a wipe, wash or stir might be your choice. You decide width and length, too. And surface treatment – Hand Sculpted, Hand Scraped and the like. If a Gloss topcoat isn’t for you, opt for the more subtle Hand-rubbed Oil or classic Wax finishes. Share your ideas with us. Together, we can achieve the T. Morton floor that’s yours alone. |
